Young Managers exploring leadership

Post-16. Prefect/School Council ‘Young Manager' Programme

Special courses are available for senior students who have been elected to prefect or school council positions. Titled ‘Young Manager' courses they explore leadership and teamwork skills, with particular emphasis on leading self and others, forming cohesive, effective teams, understanding and accepting school politics, gaining the respect of school staff, peers and junior members of the school and how to influence people and events. The courses include both theory and practical sessions with a real emphasis on transferring learning to the prefect/council member job function.
